Introductory comments

Another Fatherhood song, written during a visit to my son Miles and his wonderful family in January.

Lyrics
A: My Son
is one of the gentlest men I know.
I am so proud of him.

A2: He works
from six a.m. ‘til four.
Two hours overtime.

B1: He laughs,
plays with his wife and daughter,
and cooks the evening meals.

B2: She works
later and longer hours.
Seems like a good deal.

C: Some things we did
as we brought up our boy
must have been on the right track,
he’s beautiful.

A3: Like me
gets annoyed and frustrated sometimes
and handles it.

A4: Hits . . . drums
with The T-bones,
occasional blues band.

D: He’s well built, muscley,
working on building sites,
audio visual installation.
Sometimes on weekends
he works on the house,
rebuilding the kitchen.

Repeat C:

A5: My son
Is gentle, strong, clever and loving.
I am so proud of him.
